Girls' Generation Jessica's First Pitch Blooper Shown on U.S. Sports Blogs

Girls' Generation Jessica's First Pitch Blooper Shown on U.S. Sports Blogs

Girls’ Generation Jessica’s cute ceremonial first pitch gained the attention of blogs such as “Sports Grid” and “Deadspin.” The titles for the articles were “How Not To Throw A Ceremonial First Pitch” and “This Is Quite Possibly The Worst Ceremonial First Pitch Ever.”
What is the reason for these mean titles, you ask? Jessica did the first pitch for the baseball game between the Samsung Lions and the LG Twins. Jessica had perfect form, up until the point where she actually threw the ball. The ball hit the ground with a clunk.

Korean Netizens were more forgiving, they stated, “Jessica is gaining attention even in the U.S.,” “You can just do better on your next try,” and “You are gaining attention from all over the world.”

Super Junior Lee Teuk Reveals the Secret Behind Their International Success

Super Junior Lee Teuk Reveals the Secret Behind Their International Success

On May 11-12, “Super Show 4” was held at the Tokyo Dome. All of the seats were sold out and throughout the two days, 110,000 fans went wild. Remember, Super Junior has not officially debuted in Japan nor have they done any specific promotions.

During the May 13 “Super Show 4” press conference, Lee Teuk stated, “The Tokyo Dome is a concert hall that only the top stars get to perform in. We haven’t promoted in Japan but we are thankful that we were able to perform here in such a short amount of time.”

When asked what he believed was the secret behind their success he stated, “I think it is because we broke the conventions for idols. If you look at the path that most Hallyu stars have walked, they focus on mysteriousness, charisma, and a soft image. We are not like that. We give off a free-spirited and friendly vibe. I think that is what our fans like.”

Lee Teuk ended by saying, “Tokyo Dome and other concert halls internationally were not goals we had when we debuted. I am surprised at these unimaginable turn of events and I want to travel around the world and meet fans.”
Super Junior will hold their “Super Show 4” encore concert in Seoul on May 26-27.

"Super Show 4" at Tokyo Dome was completely sold out. Super Junior’s Heechul Faces Mental Breakdown at a PC Bang?

Super Junior’s Heechul seems to be on the verge of a mental breakdown, but he’s enjoying every moment of it. On May 13, Heechul jokingly wrote on his Twitter, “Double-Chul. Playing lol with Ui-Chul. Ah, mental breakdown is coming.”

In the shared photo, Heechul is sitting next to actor Jung Ui Chul. They both seem to be in the middle of an intense shooting battle on a computer game. The “lol” Heechul mentioned is guessed to be derived from the wildly popular video game, “League of Legends.”

In particular, fans have taken note of Heechul’s boy-next-door image. He may be one of the most popular members on Super Junior, and he’s also serving the Korean army as public service personnel, yet he looks as regular as any Korean guy you would see on the street.
Netizens commented, “Which PC bang is this?” “That can’t be the face of a mental breakdown,” and “Hee-Nim we miis you!“

Super Junior Comments on DBSK Comparison, May Create Subunit in Japan

Super Junior Comments on DBSK Comparison, May Create Subunit in Japan

Super Junior shared their thoughts on the recent DBSK comparison and their upcoming Japanese promotions during the press conference for “Super Show 4” on May 13.

Super Junior started off by saying, “We think we benefited a lot from the Hallyu’s recent popularity.”
“A lot of people compare our popularity to DBSK’s, but in order for that to make sense, we need to work a lot harder. DBSK’s fandom is bigger than you can ever imagine. DBSK first started with small-scale concerts with only 500 seats when they first came to Japan. They worked extremely hard to work their way up and achieved the results they did,” Super Junior continued.

“We never stayed in Japan to promote and it’s not like we had official promotions in Japan, either. But we think because of K-Pop’s overall popularity, we gained a lot of fan support. In order to return the love, we are also thinking about unit groups in Japan,” they continued.

Meanwhile, Super Junior held the “Super Show 4” for two days in a row, on May 12 and 13. The concert, held twice at Tokyo Dome, sold out both shows, which brought in over 55,000 fans. Since 2007, “Super Show” has visited many different countries, including Japan, Singapore, and France, attracting more than 354,000 fans in total. They will hold an encore concert in Seoul on May 26 and 27.
